Kate Baker

Practising: General medical practice

Kate is a general practitioner, with a focus on a holistic Kate Bakerapproach. She combines traditional medicine with an integrative view to search for the underlying causes of illness.  She is passionate about achieving health and wellbeing for her patients through addressing all aspects of their life, including physical, mental, psychological, and spiritual.

Kate began studying medicine at the University of Newcastle in 2007. Following graduation, she worked in a variety of city and regional hospitals in New South Wales, gaining valuable clinical experience. In 2014 Kate began working in general practice, and very quickly realised her passion for treating the whole person, and approaching medicine in a compassionate and supportive way. She went on to do further study in paediatrics, achieving a Diploma in Child Health, as well as integrative medicine in the United States with the Institute for Functional medicine, and continues these studies currently.

Her interests include women’s health, fatigue and hormonal imbalance, and children’s health, and is happy to see babies up to the elderly, and everyone in between.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys being outdoors, bushwalking, swimming, and cooking, as well as crochet.
