What is "Wholistic medicine"?
Wholistic or Holistic medicine means treating the whole person – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We take into account the social context in which you live, work and relate, and work with you to allow healing to occur in whatever way and in whichever area it’s needed.
What happens on my first visit?
When you first visit the Wholistic Medical Centre, you will be asked to fill in some information about the conditions you want treated in order to help us better understand your needs and expectations.
Your practitioner will then consult with you to establish your diagnosis and discuss your treatment plan. Depending on your individual needs you may require remedies, further visits or consultation by another member of the practitioner team.
Our practitioners have invested a lot of time discussing the best way to treat various conditions. You therefore benefit from their combined experience no matter which practitioner you see first.
What are your fees and billing arrangements?
Fees vary depending on the type of service, complexity and time taken. The consultation/treatment fees do not include other charges such as remedies, herbal medicines, supplements, vaccines or blood tests.
We appreciate full payment at the time of consultation. Credit card facilities (Visa & MasterCard) and EFTPOS are available. We also accept cheques and, of course, cash.
Discounted fees may be available with some practitioners for concession card holders.
Can I claim on Medicare or my health fund?
Yes, our GP services attract refunds from Medicare (note, that we do not routinely “bulk bill”). We can process your Medicare claim online for you. Your refund will be deposited by Medicare into your nominated bank account (once you have set this up).
Complementary therapies are covered by most private health insurance funds. We also have HICAPS to obtain immediate refunds for osteopathic, acupuncture, naturopathy, and massage treatments from the private health funds that offer that service.
Do you offer any discounts?
Discounted fees may be available with some of our practitioners for people with concession cards.
How do I collect my medical test results?
Medical test results usually require a consultation to discuss the interpretation and significance of the findings. Please don’t assume that you will be called with the results.
Can I contact my practitioner by phone?
We cannot guarantee that your practitioner will be available at the moment you call. Please use their email.
Do you make home visits?
No. Our doctors see people from all over Sydney and beyond, so it’s impossible for them to make home visits. In most cases you will be able to make a contact arrangement with your practitioner.
Alternatively you can make use of the services of Sydney Medical Service. They provide home visits at all hours and will write to inform us of their visit to you. Phone them on (02) 8724 6300.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Please let us know ASAP. Our practitioners require a minimum of 24-48 hours notice of cancellation to avoid a cancellation fee.
Please cancel in your booking app or by email. See under your practitioner’s page on the website.
What are your opening hours?

Is my medical record kept confidential?

Your information will not be released to anyone without your prior written consent.
